Ankylosaurus:  Although it was a plant-eating dinosaur, thirty-foot long Ankylosaurus was covered with dangerous spikes and carried a bony, knobbed tail.

Genus Name: Ankylosaurus ("fused lizard")
Type Species: * A. magniventris (Brown, 1908)
Length: 33-36 feet (10-11 meters)
Weight: 4-5 tons
Time: 70-65 million years ago (Late Cretaceous)
Place: Montana, Wyoming, Alberta
Diet: plant-eater (herbivore)
